Similar to every year, this year also People having dilemma between joining MTech CSE or to Join BARC, ISRO, DRDO, PSUs or any Govt Organization. Hence reposting the same post. Go through this comparison and make a consolidated decision so you don’t regret in future..
Many people are confused between joining R&D orgs like BARC, ISRO, DRDO, PSU or doing MTech in computer science from a top college like IISC, IIT, IIITs. Doing MTech will most probably land you private job at the end. Hence the discussion will be more between govt jobs vs private jobs.

- In future, Switching Job from a govt job to private Job might be difficult.

- There is no Job security. If recession hits no one is safe even if you are working in top private org.
- You might not get enough time for yourself.
- Work life balance depends organizations to organizations but yes it will be not as smooth as working in govt org.
- You might have to struggle to take leave from organization
- No retirement there.
If you have some family issues and want instant Money, you can join govt jobs instead of MTech. But yes it is sure that if you work two years properly during MTech, No doubt your growth will be at top notch level.
