Role Overview:
Mayhem Studios, in partnership with Mobile Premier League (MPL), stands as a premier hub for crafting AAA gaming experiences tailored for both local and international audiences. Our primary goal is to conceive and develop top-tier AAA game titles that redefine excellence in the gaming industry.
At the core of our mission lies the commitment to leverage the remarkable talent pool within India’s game development community. With a dedicated team comprising experts in animation, art, cinematics, design, engineering, UI/UX game design, and game production, Mayhem Studios is poised to push the boundaries of gaming innovation and deliver unparalleled experiences to players worldwide.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive test cases for Mayhem Studios’ mobile games, specifically targeting the Android platform, ensuring compatibility across diverse devices.
- Conduct thorough assessments of mobile applications, encompassing both functional and non-functional aspects, including network data and logs analysis.
- Collaborate closely with the scrum team, producers, and QA lead/manager to uphold stringent quality standards throughout the game development lifecycle.
- Facilitate proactive communication with developers and key stakeholders to efficiently triage defects and expedite resolution, minimizing defect age.
- Cultivate an in-depth familiarity with all aspects of studio games, including intricate corner cases, to ensure robust testing coverage.
- Generate and maintain detailed test documentation to enhance the overall quality and reliability of the applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
- 0-1 year of experience in gaming or software testing, preferably through internships or relevant coursework.
- Genuine passion for gaming and a deep enjoyment of playing AAA titles.
- Familiarity with gaming genres such as Battle Royale, Racing, and Shooter games is preferred.
- Understanding of Mobile Platforms & Standards from a QA perspective.
- Proficiency in test design and execution techniques.
- Knowledge of tools such as Charles Proxy, DDMS, ADB, Firebug, Fiddler, Jira, Test Rail, or similar is advantageous.
- Ability to create comprehensive QA documentation, including test cases, training materials, and test plans.
- Strong exploratory testing skills and the capability to apply appropriate testing methodologies.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Additional Assets:
1Previous experience working in an Agile development environment is considered a valuable advantage.
