Role Overview:
Join the IMS AI team if you love diving into challenges and crafting innovative solutions in a fast-paced AI environment. As a developer here, you’ll be at the forefront of AI advancements, working on data manipulation, prompt engineering, and model validations to create top-notch solutions.
Your role will involve designing and coding new features, fine-tuning existing code, and rigorously testing to maintain high-quality standards. Collaboration is key as you’ll closely work with fellow developers, designers, and product managers to ensure our software meets user expectations.
Flexibility is key as we work with Java and Python, so being comfortable with shifting between languages is a plus. Ready to dive into the exciting world of AI development with us?
What you do:
- Collaborate in a dynamic team environment to understand requirements, design, code, and test cutting-edge AI solutions for our clients.
- Integrate with various IBM teams to identify and create AI solutions that enhance and integrate with the CICS portfolio.
- Utilize IBM’s Design Thinking methodology to validate user scenarios and develop solutions with a focus on high performance, security, quality, and stability.
Skills developed:
- Gain a deep understanding of AI technologies, focusing on foundational concepts and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Address challenges related to training, testing, benchmarking, and validating AI-generated content and code.
- Familiarize yourself with the business applications of AI and understand how the Watsonx platform delivers value to IBM clients.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Skilled in Java Application Development with a focus on functional and regression testing.
- Experience with CI/CD (DevOps) practices.
- Competence in Web and UI development.
- Familiarity with automation development, including scripting for task automation.
- Proficient in the C programming language.
- Knowledgeable in Git source control management.
- Experience in Linux or UNIX development environments.
Technical and Professional:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Java development.
- Proficiency in the PL/I programming language.
- Experience working with the IBM z/OS operating system, including familiarity with ISPF/TSO.
- Knowledge of Assembler programming.
- Competence in Job Control Language (JCL) for job scheduling and management.
- Familiarity with Restructured Extended Executor language (REXX) for scripting and automation.
- Experience with Tekton for building and deploying applications.
- Knowledge of IBM Hiring IMS (Information Management System) for database management and transaction processing.
Experience Required:
- 5+ Years.
